Master’s Program of Petrochemical and Gas Industrial Engineering
Brief Introduction of the Program
The Master’s Program in Chemical, Petroleum and Gas Industrial Engineering is one of the most important academic programs offered at the national university level. Petrochemical and Gas Industrial Engineering plays a fundamental role in the development of the national economy. The program has been established based on the current needs and urgent requirements of society, as well as the necessity to train technical, professional, and specialized personnel for the industrialization and economic growth of the country.
Since the production of petroleum products and petrochemical industries are among the vital needs of modern human society, engineers and specialists in this field play a significant and valuable role in the production of petroleum, gas, and petrochemical products.
The program in English as Petrochemical and Gas Industrial Engineering, is open to eligible candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree. During their studies, students become familiar with global standards of academic and research activities and acquire the necessary skills in various branches of Petro chemical and Gas Industrial Engineering.
Like other university programs in the country, students in this program study university-wide, fundamental, and professional subjects based on an approved curriculum aligned with international standards. To enhance practical knowledge, they also participate in educational and production internships in external industrial facilities, oil refining and petrochemical plants, and laboratories in Kabul and other provinces.
Teaching in the Master’s Program in Petro chemical and Gas Industrial Engineering is carried out through modern and effective methods, including lectures, practical lessons, laboratory work, seminars, and scientific conferences conducted by professors and students, as well as class projects and applied industrial training. The curriculum includes subjects such as:
- Paint production technology
- Chemical engineering software
- Pipeline design and gas transmission
- Thermodynamic analysis of chemical processes
- Mechanisms of organic chemical reactions
- Automated control systems
- Energy production from non-fossil materials
- Surface-active material technology
- Chemical material analysis and research methodology
- Laboratory equipment
- Design of chemical industrial devices
- Catalysts and kinetics of chemical processes
The program aspires to unite young people from all ethnicities and nationalities of the country under one academic roof—on the basis of merit and competence, without discrimination—so that after graduation, they may actively and sincerely contribute to the reconstruction and development of their war-torn homeland.
The Master’s Program in Petrochemical and Gas Industrial Engineering. is capable of training engineers in industrial fields who serve society effectively. Graduates of this program have proven to be active and successful engineers throughout the country.
