Chemical engineering Department:

Department of Chemical engineering was organized in 2008. Since 1971 was part of the department of chemical technology. In 2008 according to the country needs the department of the chemical technology upgrade to the faculty of chemical technology which includes four graduating departments (Technology of organic substances, the technology of inorganic substances, Food technology, and metallurgical process ) and two general departments (Chemical Engineering and general chemistry). Teaching staff of the chemical engineering department teachers from fourth semester (second class) up to eight semester of three department of the faculty in thermodynamic & heat transfer, Unite operation of chemical technology, Equipment of chemical industry, Automation & Automatization of chemical process, Labor protection & safety techniques, Environmental protection, Material and energetic balances. The main founder of the department who headed it up to 02.2016 was Professor Doctor Noor Mohammad Zamani. Since 04.08.2016 till present have been headed by Sher Shah Amarkhail Master of technical science(chemical technology of inorganic substances) department of the chemical technology of inorganic substances faculty of chemistry, the Institute of Hi-Tech and Sustainable Development in Kazakh national research technical university by the name of K.E. Satpayv Almaty- Kazakhstan in 2013 -2016.

Aims of Chemical Engineering Department        

The main objective of the establishment of the Chemical Engineering Department in the Faculty of Chemical Technology is to educate academic, knowledgeable, equipped cadres, as well as their full familiarity with all the issues, equipment and all conditions of the chemical industry, and in compliance with all principles of The Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan. Has the following objectives:

  1. Training specialized and professional cadres at the country level, whose graduates are able to work and serve with the spirit of loyalty and with the knowledge of the day, in accordance with the needs and expectations of the labor market at the national and regional levels.
  2. Improvement of the status of the Chemical Engineering Department as a superior department among other departments of Kabul Polytechnic University up to 1400.
  3. This field applicants education with standard quality based on the needs of the country or country requirements.
  4. Scientific cooperation in the implementation of national development plans with relevant government and non-government institutions and organizations.
  5. Improving the quantity and quality of educational services for applicants with national and international standards.
  6. Provide knowledge (science and technology) in the field of chemical engineering to all eligible applicants.
  7. Promote the use of wide-ranging academic achievements in the country in an extremely practical way.
  8. Cooperate and exchange information with all scientific centers outside the university.
  9. Research in the field of chemical engineering.
  10. Focusing on quality of education.
  11. Create a standard department
  12. Adapting academic programs to improve quality.
  13. Creating opportunities to complete the education for members of the cadres such as masters and doctors and raising the capacity of experienced professors.
  14. The provision of services is based on the regulations of the university's financial independence in terms of available facilities.
  15. Contributing to community development, communicating with society and solving community problems.
  16. Revision and monitoring of curriculum adaptation in a continuous manner.
  17. Creating Facility for Scientific Research.
  18. Effective use of laboratory equipment for students Guild projects and professors' research.
  19. Attract domestic and foreign material and spiritual assistance to the development department.
  20. Work on publishing materials and to increase the scientific capacity of the scientific staff members.
  21. Creating Integrity with other domestic and foreign universities.

 As Professional Biography

Sher Shah Amarkhail was born in Kabul – Afghanistan in 1986. He finished his Bachelor diploma research in Slovak Technical University Bratislava, Faculty of chemical and food technology, Institute of chemical and environmental engineering, Slovakia in 2010 and received B.E. Kabul Polytechnic University, faculty of chemical technology in 2010. He joined the Department of chemical engineering, faculty of the chemical technology of Kabul Polytechnic University as a lecturer in 2010. He received the master degree in the field of the technical science (chemical technology of inorganic substances) department of the chemical technology of inorganic substances faculty of chemistry, the Institute of Hi-Tech and Sustainable Development in Kazakh national research technical university by the name of K.E. Satpayv Almaty- Kazakhstan in 2013 -2016.

Since 2008, the chemical engineering Dept. was consisted of structural subdivision of chemical technology faculty.

Department has high research and pedagogical potential, after 2013 laboratory practices on unite operation of the chemical process, Automation and automatization of chemical process and thermodynamics & heat transfer, also it’s equipped with modern teaching equipment of edition international company.

As Professional Biography

 Mohammad Emal Qazizada was born in Orozgan, Afghanistan, in 1984.He received B.E. in Kabul Polytechnic University, faculty of mine and Geology, department of chemical technology in 2007.he joined the Department of chemical technology, Kabul Polytechnic University, as a lecturer in 2007. He received the master degree in the field of chemical engineering in Slovak Technical University Bratislava, Faculty of chemical and food technology, Institute of chemical and environmental engineering, Slovakia in 2008 - 2010. He studded the Slovak language in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2014–2015. Currently, he is studying Ph.D. In the Technical University of Zvolen, Faculty of environmental and manufacturing technology, Department of equipment control and automation, Slovakia. He has taught scientific subjects to Preparation entry students for Kankor exam in 2010-2014. And he was part time lecturer of chemistry subject in the faculty of medicine in Aryana private University, Kabul, 2010 – 2014.

Marzia Parsa was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1359. She received B.E. in Kabul Polytechnic University, faculty of Mine and Geology, department of chemical technology in 1388. She joined the Department of chemical engineering, Kabul Polytechnic University, as a lecturer in 1388.

 Robina Maihan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1992. She received her B.S. from Kabul Polytechnic University, faculty of Chemical technology, department of Organic substance in 2013. She joined the Department of chemical engineering, Kabul Polytechnic University, as a lecturer in 2014.

 Yalda Ziay was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1989. She received B.E. in Kabul Polytechnic University, faculty of Chemical technology, department of Organic substance in 2013. She joined the Department of chemical engineering, Kabul Polytechnic University, as lecturer in 2014

As Professional Biography

 Abdul Wasim Habibi was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1989. He received the Associate degree in Kabul mechanical Institute in 2011. He joined the Department of chemical engineering, Kabul Polytechnic University, as Engineer Labrant in 2013. Mr. Wasim Habibi was gone to Slovakia for a short laboratory technical training in 2015.
