Job Description — Deputy for Research and Scientific Journal
Core Responsibilities:
- Preside over the Research and Scientific Journal Board of the university and provide necessary facilities to board members for conducting effective research.
- Ensure communications and recruit cooperation with relevant domestic and foreign research institutions regarding research topics.
- Establish and manage an international journal for the scientific magazines in the disciplines represented at the university.
- Organize national and international scientific research conferences and supervise them.
- Provide required advice and research conditions to faculty researchers to carry out their research and to improve teaching quality.
- Control and supervise the research commission’s programs, publications, and monthly conference organization for journal clubs to present new information and discoveries.
- Control and supervise the university’s research programs from legal and professional perspectives in accordance with existing guidelines.
- Supervise the implementation of laws, regulations, bylaws, and the resolutions of the university’s Scientific Council to achieve research-related objectives.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Prepare and arrange monthly, quarterly and annual work plans in accordance with the general administrative plan to achieve the directorate’s objectives.
- Be accountable for work performance and ensure transparency to the relevant ministry in accordance with the country’s effective laws.
- Transfer professional skills through organizing workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training for subordinate staff.
- Identify and propose budgetary needs based on the annual work plan of the respective unit.
- Lead, manage, evaluate performance, and determine training needs and capacity building for staff of subordinate units.
- Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and when necessary, reports on activities and achievements of the unit to inform the university leadership.
- Execute other duties assigned by relevant authorities in accordance with ministry policy.
Coordination Duties:
Coordinate with all faculties, departments and units in assigned matters.
