The future plans of the Academic Vice-Chancellery are as follows:

1. Striving to establish the university as the leading engineering institution in the country.
2. Transforming Kabul Polytechnic University into a research-oriented university in the field of engineering.
3. Enhancing the university’s position at the international level.
4. Ensuring that 90% of faculty members complete their Master’s-level education.
5. Facilitating 50% of faculty members to pursue doctoral studies.
6. Establishing postgraduate (Master’s) programs aligned with labor-market needs.
