  • Department General Information

    The Department of Chemical Engineering is a general department at the level of the Faculty of Chemical Industries Engineering and is responsible for teaching specific subjects for all graduate departments of the faculty. This department was established in 2011 corresponding to 2008 within the framework of the Faculty of Chemical Industries Engineering of Kabul Polytechnic University.

    At present, this department has 4 professors (out of 5 staff positions), 1 labrant and 1 service staff in its formation. The main academic activities of this department are teaching specialized subjects of chemical engineering, scientific research, and guidance of diploma students in the fields of mechanical computing and automation of production devices, and since 2008, this department has been recognized as one of the most important and major departments within the framework of the Faculty of Chemical Industries Engineering, which has a high research capacity.

     

     

    Vision

    Establishing a professional department to train specialized and professional cadres at the national level, whose graduates are able to serve with a spirit of loyalty to national interests and equipped with up-to-date knowledge, in accordance with the demands and demands of the labor market at the national and regional levels.

    Promoting the position of the Department of Chemical Engineering as a top department among other departments of Kabul Polytechnic University in Afghanistan until 1405 AH.

    Mission

    The mission of this department is to train applicants in this field with standard quality based on the needs of the country, the demand for the free labor market, as well as the government's major plans, with up-to-date professional and specialized knowledge at the national and regional levels.

    The mission of the department includes the following:

  • Scientific cooperation in the implementation of the country's development plans with relevant governmental and non-governmental institutions.
  • Quantitative and qualitative promotion of educational services for applicants in compliance with national and international criteria.
  • Science and knowledge production.
  • Teaching and Learning.
  • Promoting the use of scientific achievements on a large scale in the country in practice and theory.
  • Cooperation and exchange of information with all scientific centers outside the university.

    The Department of Chemical Engineering, in accordance with the principles of the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Polytechnic University and the Faculty of Chemical Industries Engineering, will formulate its future activities and implement its future activities based on the human resources and available resources.

  • Basic Purpose

    The main purpose of establishing the Department of Chemical Engineering within the framework of the Faculty of Chemical Industries Engineering is to train knowledgeable, well-equipped and up-to-date scientific cadres in chemical engineering (design of chemical engineering processes and equipment for chemical industries) as well as their full familiarity with all issues, equipment and all conditions of production of chemical industries and in compliance with all principles, laws and regulations of the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan.

    Detailed Objectives

  • Training specialized and professional cadres at the national level, whose graduates are able to serve in a spirit of loyalty to national interests and adorned with up-to-date knowledge, in accordance with the demands and demands of the labor market at the national and regional levels.
  • Promoting the position of the Department of Chemical Engineering as a top department among other departments of Kabul Polytechnic University in Afghanistan until 2021.
  • The training of applicants in this field is of standard quality based on the needs of the country, the demand of the free labor market, as well as the government's major plans, with up-to-date professional and specialized knowledge at the national and regional levels
