Geographical information system ( GIS ) Department :
The Geographical information system department was established in 2014 due to the requirement of geodetic and cartographic general administration and accepted the students in 2014 for the first time. This department has three laborites including 126 computers and its related software which is donated by the embassy of USA.
Objectives
The GIS department follows these goals:
- Educating young generation with standard knowledge of engineering proficient to ensure the necessity of the society in the field of geographical information system.
- Employ teachers and enhance their capacities creating a socially and ethically circumstance avoiding political national, relegiouscumd, lingual discrimination.
- Continuous revision on the department’s curriculum.
- Making relations and scientific, researching and academic cooperation agreements and protocols with ministries, administrations and sectoral organs.
- Making standard database and website for the department.
- Improving the departments self-evaluating process.
