Coordination Duties:
- Coordinating with other departments of the directorate to facilitate related activities.
- Establishing communication with other departments regarding the effective implementation of accreditation and quality assurance systems to ensure coordination and ease of related operations.

Managerial Duties:
- Preparing and organizing monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in alignment with the directorate's plan to achieve defined objectives.
- Transferring professional skills to subordinate staff through workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training programs.
- Managing performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and enhancing the capacity of subordinate staff and departments.
- Submitting monthly, quarterly, annual, and on-demand reports on activities and achievements to the directorate.
- Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the relevant supervisor in accordance with the ministry’s policies.
- Leadership and management of subordinate staff to implement the objectives of the Directorate.
- Organizing meetings of the university’s main Quality Enhancement Committee under the chairmanship of the Academic Vice-Chancellor and distributing the decisions to the relevant departments.
- Collaborating with the University Quality Enhancement Committee in monitoring and evaluating the teaching process and academic programs of faculties.
- Taking initiative in developing new and effective monitoring methods to improve the quality of teaching and academic affairs in line with national and international standards.
- Establishing a monitoring and evaluation system to modernize quality enhancement in faculties and university departments, ensuring clarity in management roles and promoting coordinated and collaborative operations.
- Providing necessary information and guidance to university staff for the implementation of quality assurance standards and other accreditation programs.
- Reviewing problems related to academic and teaching matters and seeking appropriate solutions in consultation with the Academic Vice-Chancellor and the University President.
- Collaborating with the University President and Academic Vice-Chancellor to improve the quality of teaching, research, and promote modern methods and techniques.
- Observing the teaching process in faculties to ensure proper practices and methods are in place.
- Organizing seminars and workshops related to quality assurance and accreditation for responsible officers in vice-chancellors’ offices and faculties to ensure proper implementation of standards.
- Raising awareness about quality assurance and accreditation programs among all university stakeholders.
- Establishing working relations with the sub-committees of faculties for implementing quality assurance-related programs at the university.
- Maintaining continuous coordination and cooperation with the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Consolidating quality assurance and accreditation reports at the university level and submitting them timely to the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Providing full cooperation with the visiting team from the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Accreditation.

The Quality Enhancement Directorate at Kabul Polytechnic University was established in the year 1395 (Solar Hijri calendar) under the name "Quality Assurance Directorate" within the framework of the Academic Vice-Chancellery. Its purpose was to manage the eleven quality assurance standards set by the honorable Quality Assurance Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan for all universities across the country.
Later, in the year 1402 (Solar Hijri), based on the decision of the same authority, its official name was changed to "Quality Enhancement Directorate." Since its establishment, the Directorate has been actively working to ensure quality in academic, administrative, research, and student service sectors at the university.
- Organizational Structure of the Quality Enhancement Directorate
- Executive Management: The executive management of this directorate is a Grade 4 position. According to its terms of reference, it is responsible for carrying out the administrative affairs of the directorate.
- Support Staff: The support staff position in this directorate is classified as Grade 8. The duties include delivering administrative documents to relevant departments and maintaining the cleanliness of the directorate’s office spaces.
