President Ghani Meets with Kabul Polytechnic University Geology & Minis professors

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, during a meeting with the professors of the Geology and mines Department of Kabul Technical University, discussed identifying priorities and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of mining and its extraction.

The meeting was in the citadel, officials from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and the head of Kabul Polytechnic University also attended, at first Professor Amir Mohammed “Mosazay” presented his presentation on Afghanistan's natural resources, reserves and precious stones.

After listening to the presentation, President Ghani said that in order to make people aware of the minerals and precious elements of Afghanistan, you need to give them information and examples in the museum.

He added that the Ministry of Mines should focus on specific items of Afghanistan's mineral resources and prepare the entire geological map of Afghanistan to ensure that there are reserves in different parts of the country and that the necessary measures are taken to extract it.
